WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PRE-WORKOUT?
OVERALL RATING
I wanted to start a discussion thread as fitness partners about pre-workouts so we can constructively review some of the supplements mentioned here. My goal is for all us to learn from one another as we critique each supplement. We can really gain some knowledge here so be sure to emphasize on your âwhyâ in your comments. Iâll go first; my two favorite pre-workouts are Legionâs âPulseâ and âMr. Hyde NitroXâ. I like âPulseâ because it contains ingredients that, according to research, will help your performance during your workout and are not under dosed. Caffeine at 350 mg, L-Citrulline Malate at 8 g, L-Theanine at 350 mg. AWESOME! What I donât like; Beta alanine because I donât consider this ingredient a pre-workout since itâs not time dependent (like caffeine). Beta alanine is great but must be taken for a few weeks daily in order to benefit from its effects. I also donât like the Betaine Anhydrous because there is not enough research to justify its claims. I like Mr. Hyde as a stimulant to really get me pumped up, 420 mg of Caffeine altogether. YIKES! This will really give you a lot energy (if your heart doesnât explode first, LOL). What I donât like; some ingredients are under dosed particularly the Beta Alanine, Creatine, and L-Cirtulline. Again, I donât consider Beta Alanine or Creatine as pre-workout ingredients. They are not time dependent and must be taken for a few weeks for their effects to kick in. Also, I consider arginine a waste of time. Research has been inconsistent when it comes to arginine. L-Citrulline Malate has been shown to elevate arginine levels and Nitic Oxide levels better than arginine itself. Alright FitFam! Thoughts, comments, questions, concernsâ¦? What is your favorite pre-workout? Let's do this.
