meal prep 3/19 - 3/25

Showing off this weeks menu after another 5 hour meal prep. Grain free turkey burrito with chipotle glazed sweet potatoes, baked chicken with chinese broccoli, steak lettuce wraps woth spanish green beans and bacon, rapsberry salmon with glazed carrots amd snickerdoodles. ? Last week was a bit mediocre. Daylight savings kicked my butt as expected. Monday tuesday was alright and then wednesday I actually ended up playing hookie from work I was so exhausted. Got in a solid 13 hours of sleep. When I finally did get out of bed my legs were so sore from my first leg workout in a while that i had no regrets. Back in the day I would have felt immense guilt taking a day when I felt otherwise healthy for the most part. As I get older I listen to my body and mind a bit more. I dont make a habit of missing work but I can appreciate that an extra day rest when I need it actually saves me having to deal with issues in the future. I feel like I have too much on my plate right now, not going to lie. Between 50 hour work weeks, gym time, meal prep, chores and ensuring my dog gets enough excercise and attention I feel like Iâm constantly running out of time. I only got 2 gym days in last week but still ran 3 although my mileage was a bit low. Focus is going to be on sleep hygiene this week since I just cant seem to get it right. It feels like the foundation i need to build on. A podcast told me to focus on being disciplined in waking up in the morning and the nightime routine will set itself. Ive got my alarm set that forces me to scan a specific barcode in order to turn it off. The hardest part is rebuilding habits.
