I Have always been into my sports and fitness since my early high school years in which i was around about 13 and like a lot of people i have always looked up to my old man! I wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a paratrooper and eventually special forces!
I began lifting weights and running about 30-40 miles per week at 17, i didn't no anything about weights and just did the basics.... flat barbell bench press, Standing shoulder press , upright rows and barbell curls. To be honest i gained size i even got into taking protein supplements (cyclone). Friends and Family started noticing my gains and i loved the attention, it gave me way more confidence ! However i wasn't that serious about it as my goal was to join the army not to become a bodybuilder!!!!
I successfully joined the army only to be diagnosed with compartment syndrome 20 weeks into training, i went to rehab for few months to see what could be done but they just said rest it out, They didn't want to risk operating on me which i was absolutely gutted about . This then made me gain a lot of weight as i couldn't run in which i got bored and depressed as i was just sat in the same block for months doing nothing , the only positive thing was that i had my dads solid 15 kg dumbbells next to me which i was curling near enough everyday ha ha ! They eventually sent me packing in April 2010 after 6 slow months !
I couldn't run , i couldn't play sports what else was left to do apart from lift weights so this is what i did , this is how it all happened.
