OVERALL RATING
As I begin week 10 of running I was feeling discouraged thinking that I wasnât achieving goals through the 12 week program to a 5K As I ran I heard my first 1/2 mile speed and thought maybe I would reach a faster time. As my run continued in my 30 minutes of straight running I was able to increase my speed. I am thrilled with my 12 minute splits. That means that ten minute miles are not far away considering I started out at 15:34 splits in week one. It may take a few minutes until you feel good, it may even take a few minutes until you feel anything but sluggish and tired. Be patient and just relax and remember that you started. Hard part done. But true to form, as soon as I started negotiating with myself when I could stop early, this truth I needed came to mind... âYou know you are going to see this workout through to the end. So be confident. And be ready to run through that fatigue, that beautiful fatigue that you earn with every new stride. You want that fatigue. Running through it is how you get better.â Have a great day. #fastedcardio #fitgrandpaonajourney #fitguyonajourney And I kept going
