When I turned 38 I looked in the mirror and was not happy with what I saw. I was over weight, out of shape and not the healthiest. I decided to change that and entered in my first Spartan Super. I decided then that I would not make it easy on the Grim Reaper and it paid off. On March 30th 2013 while leaving a night club with my wife and a couple friends we were jumped by a local gang. 12 to 15 thugs beat and stabbed three of us guys. I was stabbed in the neck and flown to the hospital. I Coded twice but finally came out alive. The doctors told me that if i wasn't in such good shape that i would not have made it. I'm happy just to be alive, but I'm happier to be Alive and Strong.
