Living in a country with a horrible public transportation system, we depend a lot on walking and bicycle. While I lived there I did martial arts as well, but due to poor nutrition I was really skinny, healthy but skinny. After moving the the US, adopting a sedentary lifestyle, going from 135 lbs that I used to weight at the age of 20 to 207 lbs by the age of 25 I got to a point I realized I was destructing myself both physically and mentally. After losing 12 lbs I turned into P90X and by the end of it I had lost 30 lbs and gained not only some muscle mass but my level of strength grew beyond what I had experience so far. After going thru some tough times and gaining some weigth back, I'm not back in the game aiming to lower my body fat percentage and increase my muscle mass to where I feel happy and comfortable.
It is hard to explain to those who don't workout how big of an impact exercising has in your life. The levels of energy, accomplishment and happiness can't be described but only lived thru my daily workouts. I love being agile, strong, challenge my body and achieve physical goals I never thought I could achieve. Working out really makes me feel in peace.
