I have always been a light jogger, and exercised periodically at home, even when I was overweight. I became more motivated about 8 years ago when I decided it was time to lose the extra weight I had put on. I started hitting the gym with a friend and jogging. I felt so good when working out and afterward, and started helping others learn better eating habits and motivating others to exercise. I pursued my Personal Training Certification but did not complete it until later due to my busy schedule. About 3 years ago I joined Team Beachbody and started doing some of their workouts, Insanity, Turbo Fire, Les Mills Pump, and drinking Shakeology etc. I was happy with my results so I kept going. I also started signing up for about 3-4 5k races each year. For the second time I began pursuing my Personal Training Certification and finally achieved it! I am now a Certified Trainer, Certified Fitness and Nutrition Specialist, and a Team Beachbody Coach. I love the fit life!
It gives me energy, makes me happy, and I love the results I see when I look in the mirror. It feels good to know that I am doing something for my body that will I will continue to benefit from throughout my life.
