I ran track in HS, never touch a weight, coach didnt believe in them, my father passed away a year after I graduated HS due to heart issues. Moved back home to help mom.. when I started colllege @25y I was tall and skinny 6'2'', but wanted to get into fitness, the "Y" was looking for help in fitness center, I applied, got a job 25 hrs per wk. 2 of the trainers were bodybuilders, big and ripped. They taught me alot, learned how to dead lift, perform cleans, squat and bench. Had to leave college my sophomore year due to family issues, mother very sick. Stopped lifting needed to work to help pay off bills. Met my wife at work, in training class. life as I know changed for the better. She encouraged me to train since it made me feel better and she bragged to her friends "he's got a 6 pack" I was lean and pretty muscular 6'2" 195 and 8 % bf. I would like to come close to that again.
I enjoy training , takes me to a different place... there is a comradery there, mostly me against the weights... some times its a war against my own body. These days I'm 52 and I'm sore due to cholesteral meds, fighting it. I train at a body bulding gym. Lots of great physiques there. Mine is not one of them. Thats my motivation. My goal is to get my waist down to 32.. I'm @ 35 right now, would like to get and be lean maybe 10%. Currently working 2 jobs finance's are tight trying to pay off some debt. Getting the diet right is the hardest thing. I take a preworkout drink and a protein drink after work out and Vitamins I will get there. It will take some work, need to keep me motivated. 10/26/13 Some changes going on, a cousin asked me to help him and his wife get in to shape, started them on program, then one of their friend's asked me to help them. Love helping and motivating people to help change their lives and become healthier.
