well originally, I started working out for fat loss around the age of 13 because I was really overweight (230 lbs @ 5 foot 10). Then got into the bodybuilding aspects of it. Love my upper body the most, especially arms and abs. Ended up getting off track and stopped weight lifting for 2 years due to a bad relationship decision. Now, I'm back on the track to get bigger, stronger, and healthier than ever before. It kills me that all the muscle I used to have has been reduced to such a small amount. And when anyone points it out, its definitely a sore and touchy subject. Makes me want to cry sometimes because its like losing a loved one.
Update:
So, I started working out again July 1st 2012, however, I was very on and off with my workouts and focusing too much on some aspects on my body and not enough on others. I completely negated to do any legs for a bit. I ended up injuring myself from over training certain body parts (biceps especially), so I took breaks and then started back up again. The injuries were adding up, and my workouts were becoming more and more spread apart. Since I started Steve Cook's program about 6 weeks ago, I have been officially steady and consistent in my workouts. I am now working on the 2013 BSN summer shred with March 25th as my start date.
I just love feeling like I can do anything. When I'm healthy and strong, I feel heroic. Working out, and doing it consistently and to your full potential each time, proves your dedication and drive.
