As a former NCAA division 1 volleyball player who had a sudden career-ending injury, I never really had the time to ween myself off of the whole "food is fuel/eat whatever you want...you'll just burn it off" mentality. So I kept eating...a LOT...and not working out...at ALL. Long story short: a couple years ago at my cousin's wedding, my 2 older sisters were making comments about how much food I was eating and telling my neice's to eat their food or "Carlyn is going to eat it all". Nice right? I had the whole sob-story bad break-up which made me apparently think that Oreo's were going to go out of business and I needed to eat them all. After being told how I should be a plus-size model several times, I saw the "before" picture and something inside me finally snapped. I saw the former happy-go-lucky, confident, healthy girl screaming to get out of a heavy, depressed body. It was time for a change. I didn't diet...I changed my life. Now I am back to my happy, confident, active, loving self. Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it... the time will pass either way.
I love the motivation I get from this site and hope I can be an inspiration to others. Please feel free to message me any time! Go get it!!!
