I've alwasy been active but a friend from work who lifted asked me to start lifting with him. Having a frined to hold me accountable made all the difference. Now it is part of my life but I'm ready to take it to the next level. I work out consistently but not always intensely.... I need a goal besides just a routine so I have signed up for the 6 week challenge and I am hoping the motivation will help me break through my plateau.
I'm pushing 40 years old and have always been very active , but at 6'3" and 250 lbs I was a big guy. Fit, but still very big. I decided I needed to lose some weight and really put my mind to it. Last summer I dropped 40lbs and the difference it made in my life was incredible. I am an avid cyclist and being able to keep up with the skinny litlte guys on the climbs felt so good. There are too many benefits to even start listing them, but I have a long way to go still to reach my goals.
