I started working out in high school for the elective credits. Never did take it too seriously though. After high school I decided to join the U.S. Marines. It was only after my first tour overseas did I decide to push my fear aside, man-up, and walk my skinny ass into the gym. I went from 110 lbs soaking wet to 195 lbs over the next year. I didn't see much change the first few months so I decided to hit up the local GNC. The dude was good to me, gave me tons of info and some websites to look into, including this one. I learned pretty quick what worked and what didn't, and ever since I have been consistently learning and evolving. I recently got back into a gym here on the island and the great thing about it...it's free!
I love working out simply because it gives me an outlet for all the crap life gives me. I saw a quote that said "No matter what life throws at you, put it on the bar and press it." I couldn't have said it better myself.
