I decided to become a fitness competitor when I first saw girls like Kelly Ryan and Susie Curry jumping and flipping across the stage when I was about 22 years old..I loved their bodies and energy. I have competed in Womens Fitness Division in both NPC and Fitness America events since 2002. The wear and tear on my body over years of preparing for shows, dieting, self image issues associated with the process of contest prepping, work and raising a family, were among the many reasons I decided to give up competing. Most recently I took up aerial/circus arts and fell in love with Cirque du Soleil type training. It was a natural fit with my background and I learned quickly. Unfortunately I discovered that in addition to a herniated L5 disk, I have arthritis throughout my spine which is making my goals a bit more difficult to reach. However, I have a dream of performing one day and I intend to train properly with my limitations in mind and reach that goal.
