At my heaviest/most unhealthy I was 235lbs. I got down to 160lbs by incorporating proper diet and exercise and started doing long distance running. After about 2 years of that I was really trying to do an Iron Man. After being diagnosed with PFS (patellofemoral syndrome) I couldn't really run anymore and so I shifted my goals to weight lifting. I have been lifting consistently since July 2013, and at this point am trying to put on mass. My ultimate goal is to break 200. Currently I am just trying to eat healthy and taking things one workout at a time.
Working out for me has become a source of pride and daily stress relief. It has become a metaphor for my life that we may come across times that are difficult; we may dig ourselves into a hole, but when you have the determination and you push through the hard times you will find that you are capable of amazing results
