I got started by boot camp in the Army. I never had a set discipline for exercise and this gave me the motivation I needed to get into shape. After i burned 20 pounds in boot and began going to the local base gym in an effort to maintain the ability to perform the exercises I need to pass the fitness tests, I became hooked.

Now more than ever, as a disabled veteran I love working out as it helps me with my pain management. It's harder for damaged bones to ache when there is muscle built around them. I'm now in a wheelchair from a massive TBI I sustained over sixteen years ago in a car wreck. It hasn't stopped me it just drives me to be a better athlete than before my injuries caught up to me. Now there is a bracket for wheelchairs in the bodybuilding industry. My dream is to compete in the Arnold Classic next year.
