At the age of 12. My best friend at the time bought a Weider set (with the plastic covered concrete weights-lol). Ever since that first experience of a muscle pump, I was hooked. My best friend gave up after a week, but I would still come over every day to work out. I took up weight training every year after that throughout jr. High & high school. I was very athletic from an early age and sports were also a big part of my youth (wrestling, football, & track).
It is a personal journey that has no limitations and is a constant personal challenge. I love everything that I feel from and while training. From the pumps to the agonizing failure reached in any given set, the rewards are priceless. It constantly reminds me of the dedication and determination that I carry within myself, as a person, which I know can be applied to ANYTHING else in life. Training keeps me in perfect balance both mentally and physically and is part of who I am.
