I have always been one to enjoy athletics. A few years ago I was looking up ways to work out at home and came across this website. Very intrigued! Since then, I have been on an off with lifting. My first passion is running but I have been sidelined because of foot surgery December of 2013. Now that I am back in a routine of just getting moving I have decided to try to lift to try and get my shape back, at least somewhat. For the past few years I have looked at fitness and figure models wanting to be like them. I know we can not "be" someone else but the physique is something that I see as confidence and strength. I believe I have those qualities but I want people to "see" that as well. Wish me luck!
When I work out I feel as though I can take on the world. It is important to me to be a good role model for kids since I work in a High School and coach swimming for boys and girls. I do not want to be the coach on the sidelines that is overweight and out of shape. There are already too many of those! Working out gives me a sense of confidence and strength. I know it will also help when I return to running in the next year.
