I grew up playing sports and active in dance, cheerleading and later running half marathons. After college and starting a career, getting married and then starting a new job-most of my 20's was spent adjusting to adult life. I still worked out semi-regularly, if not in a gym I would run outdoors. I got into P90X and spin class and saw good results from that. I lifted weights in high school and some college, but never with a specific goal in mind like bodybuilding. I knew I had an athletic body and that with some planning and work I could make it best it could be. I decided to get serious about my goals and used the Jamie Eason 12 week trainer as well as making up my own workouts from information from bodybuilding.com I saw great results and was addicted! I wanted more and a new challenge so I decided to compete in a fitness competition. I did bikini category and now working toward figure.
I love bodybuilding because it makes me feel amazing. Physical strength breads mental strength and toughness. It's like unwrapping a present, uncovering your best self. I look forward to my workouts each morning, I need them to feel like I've started my day off to a great start. It's helped me feel more confident in my skin by learning ways to enhance my body and developing healthy habits. Muscles are my favorite accessory. :o) I love lifting, I love cardio, any kind of outdoor activity. Combining the outdoors with exercise is the ultimate. I feel best when I start my day with a great workout or a nice walk with my dog on a great day. I love fitness and more importantly the feeling I get when being of sound body and mind. I enjoy motivating others to reach their health and fitness goals. You only have one body and one life why not be your best self!?
