From the time I was seven years until the age of 27, I lived in fear hiding myself from the world. I finally found the courage to wear a short sleeve shirt and show off the 2x12 inch scar on my right arm. I always remember my doctor telling me that the bigger I got the smaller my scar would be. So, at the age of 13, when my father allowed to me to a bench and barbell set I started working out feverously trying to get big. In the summer when I was six years old I was playing outside on my favorite past time, riding my Big Wheel. I thought I was Speed Racer flying up and down the side walks and then, against my motherâs wishes, jumping-off the curve into the streets. It was late in the afternoon and was fatigued by the hot summerâs day. My mother had just called out to me to come and get my jacket. I was just about to heed her command when I was struck by this big, black thundering sedan that kept going until he had dragged me five houses. He said he only stopped because he knew he was dragging something.
I now workout because I absolutely enjoy the feeling of the pump and seeing my body transform. Yet, my inner health is as important as the way I look. I combined by strength training with intense cardio which includes running stairs with a 50lb. weighted vest and circuit training.
