When I started hitting the clubs in my late teens, I saw that there were a lot of jacked guys in there with some of the hottest babes. Basically, I was jealous, and decided to get even with them... also, considering the fact that I grew up a minority, it really motivated me to be able to be intimidating to people who would normally try to mess with me. Since then, I've realized that many of my thoughts came from a place of insecurity, but over the last few years I've really changed - I've gotten a more positive mindset and outlook on life. Working out regularly has definitely helped me big time.
Working out gives me an outlet. I also am a competitive street dancer, and practise most styles. Currently, my favorite style is KRUMP... it really gives me a way to release my anger at people and feel things that most people never get to feel. People hyping you up, the feeling of "letting go" and being in your happy place... things that can't be bought for any amount of money. Some people think it looks crazy, but its very technical once you understand the dance.
