My annual health physical was an eye opener. Blood pressure and cholesterol were both high. I was overweight and out of shape. Doc wanted to put me on med's. I believed I could improve and control my health though lifestyle changes and eating habits. So, I told Doc that I wanted to try lifestyle change first. Doc was skeptical, but I did it anyway. In less than six months, dropped 30 lbs, and got both blood pressure and cholesterol down in healthy range. I owe so much to bodybuilding.com and Its community for providing tools, expert information, and motivation to achieve my goals and inspire me to set new ones.
Bodybuilding keeps me active. As a software engineer I don't have an active work life. I need balance in my life and bodybuilding gives me that. This is also something my wife and I enjoy doing together. We provide motivation for each other, we prepare meals together and talk about our next goals. By participation in the many body space forums, and challenges, I am presented with something new and exciting every day. Best of all I see results from all my hard workouts both physically and mentally.
