I had been an athlete in high school and college, so working out was not something completely foreign to me; however, after getting married and becoming a father of two, working out became a low priority. However, in December of 2012 I almost tipped the scales at a whopping 250lbs. This was the heaviest I had ever been. I decided that enough was enough and my wife and I started seriously looking for a reasonably priced gym membership with services for childcare. We found exactly what we needed in a local Gold's Gym.
We joined the Gold's family in December of 2012 and have been working hard and logging the hours every day since we joined. We are both motivated and excited to see how far we can change our bodies into being exactly what we have always wanted them to be. In addition, we hope our children will see the dedication and the lifestyle change, so that they grow up knowing what it means to be healthy and fit.
I love working out because it makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something tangible. I can see over time how the sweat, grit, and pain produce real results. I love the way people begin to see and appreciate the hard work when they see the changes. Working out is one of the best ways to release stress and anxiety, by taking it out on my body through repeated abuse and one more excruciating rep!
