I always played sports growing up, was active, loved exercising, but was never the smallest or fittest girl on the team. Injuries and life got in the way which I let be an excuse to put that part of my life aside, letting myself get to a point where I was very unhappy.
Now, I know that just because life gets busy or a part of your body hurts, that isn't an excuse to become inactive. Exercising was an important part of my life and I am glad to be in a place where it is a priority again and will make sure it stays that way!
I definitely wasn't into bodybuilding at first, but my boyfriend showed me how bodybuilding and workout out/weightlifting can be such a rewarding way to train! I love hitting the weights, setting a new PR and pushing myself day in and day out. As someone who loves the outdoors- hiking, camping, biking, etc.- I've found that the strength I built in the gym has made me stronger when doing any of those activities now. It has made me more confident and I love the feeling I get after putting in a great session in the gym!
