Before I discovered lifting, I was the cardio QUEEN! I ran twice a day for a total of 15 minutes day in and day out, and knew nothing about macronutrients. I was still trying to recover from my eating disorder and was never satisfied with the way I looked. I thought I was forever doomed to be stuck in the endless cycle of tons of miserable cardio and never eating any foods that I actually liked without feeling guilty.

The second semester of my senior year of high school, I stumbled upon an Oxygen magazine; that was the beginning of a new journey for me. I've since broadened my horizons and regularly follow numerous fitness experts and read, read, read as much as I can to educate myself about training and nutrition. I discovered that lifting weights is my true love. Bye-bye cardio! :)

There is nothing more empowering than not only feeling like a strong chick but actually BEING one and busting it out in the gym. Lifting weights has also played an instrumental role in sculpting the body of my dreams.
