Excelled at all sports from a young age, particularly basketball and aussie rules football. Joined a gym with my dad at age 16, with the goal being to get stronger for football. Soon after I quit football and took up Triathlon with a group of people from the gym. After a couple years of endurance training I found myself loathing it and simply wanting to spend more time in the gym lifting weights. Gave it all away for a year or so around age 19 while I partied, ate terrible food, and played online games. Got back into training at age 21, and it soon became a lifestyle which I've maintained ever since. Got noticed for having an impressive physique around age 23 which resulted in modelling work. Watched a friend compete at a bodybuilding show in 2006 which inspired me to have a crack myself the following year. At my first bodybuilding show in 2007 I won both the Novice men division and under 70kg division at State level. Competed again the following year (2008) and placed 3rd at National level in the under 70kg division. Suffered a shoulder injury soon after, preventing me from competitive bodybuilding ever since. This has left me with a great sense of unfinished business. I am now back in form and currently training to be very active during the 2013 competitive bodybuilding season.
There are many ups & downs in life, but training is a constant.
Training is my life blood. No matter how busy my day gets, training always remains a priority. My training is both intense and meditative. I live and breathe the lifestyle of a natural bodybuilder who intends to lift forever.
For me, bodybuilding isn't about ego, or drugs, or winning contests. It's about discipline, and making sure I continue striving to always improve, and be the best I can be.
