Like many, I loved playing sports and running around. I've been doing triathlons since I was a kid and really got into running/lifting at the end of high school. Throughout college I hit the weights, but nothing organized or rooted in knowledge. Just picked up weights and put them down. Did p90X for a while when I was too broke to pay for a gym and really saw the benefits of using my own body weight with lunges, push-ups, pull-ups etc. When I got back tot he gym, started toying with lifting splits and have been going pretty steady this whole year. I really feel like I have always had a naturally toned physique beneath and need to get the slough off to show for it! Cardio has since taken a backseat because I love the weights but really need to hammer down and finish up with cardio so hopefully this is my year!!!
I am a nerd at heart with a bachelors in biology and now also nursing. I love the science of they body, it rocks! And this process of manipulating your physique by pulling the strings of how your body works is so cool. You can have/do anything you want in life and bodybuilding is the physical proof of that! You just have to put in the work to learn and carry out the science and poof! Magic : ) So, so cool. Best of luck to everyone in their fitness goals! Lets do this thing!!
