The year was 1985 and I was a junion in high school and was looking to join exchange my saxophone and the marching band and join the varsity football team. I began working out in the weight room with the team during the summer and feel in love with the process of transforming my body shape. I've been in the gym ever since. Although I was in the gym a lot, I usually did the same workout exercises and never put any focus on my nutrition or diet. I was strong and fit but I was never anywhere close to reaching my optimal peak fitness physique.
I love challenging myself -- I love the feeling of being healthy and strong -- I love getting past the first ten minutes of working out and enjoying the high from the rest of the workout -- I love knowing the time invested working out is time that will build me up with strength, intensity, determination, and confidence.
