I have been athletic most of my life. Stayed in shape as a kid by Biking, Skiing, Skating/Hockey and Wrestling. My freshman year I stopped wrestling and picked up a different hobby which was the beginning of my athletic decline. It wasn't until my senior year that I started to exercise again. Completely blind to a proper weightlifting routine, I did bench three days a week. In spite of my lack of knowledge, by spring of 1990 I weighed 147 pounds and could bench press 275 pounds. That summer I worked construction and my routine went to crap. It wasn't until a year later that I started lifting again and then on and off since.
Weightlifting has been a number of comebacks that I have lost track of. I had a good run at it my senior year, then at the age of 20-21 then again at 24 and the rest of the time have been attempts that last no more that three months. I'm now 41 and sick of the up and down battle with trying to stay with it. My heart is completely in it, but work and injury has always gotten in the way. That's why I decided to join this site. I need to reach my natural physique and stay with it. I've made changes in my life and want to make this a way of life. Just like everyone else on this site, I feel better when I'm in top shape.
