It relieves my stress. Doing something helps me wind down and clear my mind. Plus I like the way I feel and look, especially after five kids.
UPDATE 2017: I am now working out just to get back basic functioning without pain. I have gained weight and struggled with overwhelming fatigue episodes. I have had had Bilateral Fasciotomies (Dec 2012- Jan 2013) and recently ankle reconstruction and bracing (Feb & Apr 2017). These have changed my world both personally and as a Personal trainer. Being told I am not to run or be in an unstable environment has been the pits. I did these so I could run again. My Bones are very soft near the ankle, so until it is higher-they say no.
UPDATE 2018: April 2018 I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia; then in May 2018 with Ehlers-Danlos and Hyper-mobility; and Lipoedema (Lymph tissue traps fluid-mine is mainly from the waist down {think Log legs and kankles} with some in the upper arm) July 2018 (Can you say Flexitouch time.). NOW, no Stretching, high impact, or contact sports. Stabilization and Strengthening.
