I used to keep my horse at this barn, and I'd wake up at 4:30am every weekend day to clean stalls in order to reduce my horse's board. I woke up at this ungodly hour with a friend of mine with whom I also rode and she kept her horse there as well. She was the fittest woman I had ever seen, and when she told me she was 50 it blew my mind. She didn't look a day over 30. I was so impressed and from then on have wanted to attain that kind of muscular and healthy physique.
I love working out because it is relaxing to me. It calms me at any time: when I have tests to study for and papers to write, when I can't find the time between work and school to go over and see my horses, when my dating life sucks and I only seem to find completely inappropriate individuals, when my social life is subpar, when everything around me starts to close in. Those are the times that I work out, but not the only times. I work out consistently because it puts me in a good mood. It makes me feel balanced, self-aware, and ready to embrace the day no matter what. That is why I love working out.
