December 2009 was the final days of my first semester in college. Spent a many of days studying, EATING, DRINKING, and too much partying. My grades were good so I really didn't care at the time. When I come home for winter break, my mother looks at me and says, "You've got to do something. You've been a big girl all your life but this is just too much." The hurt in her voice was just too much. I took it personal at first, but then I looked in the mirror and decided, she was right. 110 lbs later, I have done a complete 180 with my life, even changing my major to general chemistry so I can attend graduate school and become a nutritionist. This is my LIFE. No turning back. EVER. And I thank GOD for it every day.
I have so much joy, and I thank God for it every day. I am humbled and thankful for the progress I've made over the past two years, but I still have a long way to go. The gym has become my place of peace, my therapy, my love. I'm loving the journey, so I know the destination will be sweet, sweet victory.
