I worked out on and off for a few years from the age of 26 then decided I had to get a bit more serious about it as I wanted to join the army. Unfortunately I got turned away at the first stage as I didn't pass the medical, which although heart breaking was probably the best thing to happen to me. I made the decision to go to university and study Sports Coaching and learn everything I could about working out. This ignited a passion in me for the subject of women in sport, especially in the more male dominated sports so I made the decision that after University I would train to compete as a bodybuilder. My official bodybuilding journey began on the 15th May 2012.
It may be perhaps because bodybuilding is different and you stand out.
It is misunderstood by most but understood completely both those who sweat in the gym with you
It takes passion
It takes discipline
It takes a strong will to defy the naysayers
It can inspire
It can turn heads
It changes your life
