I got started back in Grade 8, when I just started doing little online workouts. I continued this through to the end of Grade 10, also beginning to ride my bike a lot. That summer I got more serious about biking and working out. I would do 2 hour home workouts 4 times a week. That November I started running. Then this February of 2012 I joined the gym, and that is when I became more serious about my goals and ambitions. I ran my first half marathon (2:01:37) on September 1st (2nd in my age group), I signed up to run a 30K on March 24th, and I got 9th/70 in Cross country 5K in October 2012 running it in 21:39.
I love it because it keeps me healthy! I love feeling strong and being able to lift things without people helping me. Working out makes me feel good. I like being a fit girl, it makes me feel able to do more things than I ever would have. I love being the strongest out of my female friends.
