Until 2006 i wouldn't have run for a bus. I smoked 20-30 cigarettes a day and went drinking 5 nights a week. I quit smoking and a personal trainer must have brainwashed me. I turned my life around. I lost 2 and half stone (35lb), I ran the London Marathon in 2009, joined the British Territorial Army in 2010 but after having some knee problems my fitness levels fell. A week after my 40th birthday i decided to get back in shape and this time do it properly. I'm now studying to be a Personal Trainer and am working as an Army Boot Camp instructor. My plan is look like a personal trainer...so weight training has become a massive part of my life.
I love the visible change to my physique, the improvement to my strength and the ability to do things i wasn't able to do a year ago. There's still progress to be had and i can't wait to see how those changes pan out.
