I was always an athletic person... I joined sports my sophomore year of high school and made varsity across the board for field hockey, swimming and rowing in my first year. I went on to row for two different Division 1 programs throughout my college career. My senior season ended early due to an ACL replacement surgery that didn't heal according to plan... which required a second surgery. I will admit, I remained sedentary for almost a year after, discouraged. I was told by my surgeon and therapists that I wouldn't be able to lift as heavy or regain full flexion or extension ever again.
WRONG! I was determined to get into something competitive again, so I tried focusing on training my body differently (not for a sport). I was happy with the results! Then... I started reading more about bodybuilding/nutrition and finding out about figure competitions... which is leading me to where I am now... Training for my first figure competition!!
