I got tired of seeing myself a little fat and having low muscular strength. I stayed in general shape because I'm in the military but it wasn't a priority for me. I did just enough to pass my physical training test which as you progress in service, you become less physically fit, but by choice usually as nobody truly hounds you if you can still pass if barely, haha. I knew it was time for a change and being deployed, there is almost no better time as you can dedicate time to hitting weights or any other heavy objects, and get your caloric intake through the food they provide you.
I've seen myself transform over the past three months, with constant comparison to the before and now after. My first plan was the Arnold Blueprint to Cut which did wonders for my strength and physique, plus eating healthier really did work for me. Now that it's finished, I've switched over to Blueprint to Mass to build some solid lean muscle and increasing my carb intake now that a predominant amount of excess fat has been depleted.
