When I couldn't play with my kids without worrying about ME getting hurt instead of them, I decided to strengthen my body so I can be here for the long haul. I began by just doing push ups in the morning. Then added a few sit ups and eventually dug up the dumbells buried in the garage. Now I just joined a gym 1/27/10... Now, 3 years later, I've achieved all of my original goals and even surpassed some (minus the six pack). It is time to reassess where I am and set some new goals. (Probably just going to be to get bigger and leaner like most here. 12/26/2012....
It is a great way to increase your self confidence. Sometimes you plateau and it saps your motivation, but if you just change your workout and work through it you can continue to improve. Although progress does slow down, it is still progress, and you will reach that next goal eventually. This is a personal journey. Enjoy it.
