I am so glad I did this #250kChallenge ! I have successfully incorporated nutrition, carb timing, steady & HIIT cardio. I have put on a lot of muscle now that I work in all rep ranges and focus upon form.
Although this body may only be good for modeling ZIPPER BOOTS & STRETCHY PANTS, I am looking forward to continuing the transformation until it becomes an unconscious lifestyle!

Ended-up in the emergency room, overweight, with a possible heart attack 2009. In 2011, the doctor told me to go on statins. I said, 'No, I want to change my lifestyle.' The nurse smirked, 'Oh yeah, right..'
Had to be careful starting. I compressed a vertebra as a paratrooper. Started doing squats with no bar, then just the bar, then onward and upwards. Squatting 195lbs now (several setbacks) after a lot of core work!
I entered the #250kCHALLENGE to (finally) compile and execute all the information I have been reading for the last 6 years and force a change. It worked.
:-] My daughter called me asking to do meal prep together on Sundays and to help her pick a gym/workout. Transformed her too!
Items I transformed for the #250kCHALLENGE:
* I lift in all rep ranges.
* Ditched the scale, bought a tape measure
* Changed my mindset: decided to win the #250kChallenge instead of 'let's see what I can accomplish'
* Learned to say, "No" . This was huge!
* Changed my workout to 6 days per week (4 exercises/day), push/pull schedule. It works for me.
* Got my wife to help me win
* Learned patience and trust the process
* Learned cardio is about heart health; not weight loss
* Learned my macros; not as hard as I thought
* No longer celebrate with food!
* Changed my transformation from 12 weeks into 3 years. I want these changes permanent!!
* Stopped lying to myself (you'll hurt yourself, you can't) and set high goals
