Being active has always been my way of life. Ever since I can remember I have been involved in sports. You name a sport and I have played it. I have always had a slender athletic body but never the body I wanted. I have always had a vision in my head of what I want to look like but never felt it was attainable. After joining the Army I gained 20 pounds. Although it may not all be muscle I know for sure its not fat. The more I lifted the better I felt and looked until I finally made a conscious decision to dedicate myself in developing my body into the form I want it to be. the hardest thing for me to accept is your body isn't developed overnight. It takes time.
Pushing myself every time I work out is a privilege and not a guaranteed thing. When I am able to push myself beyond my limits every workout I release all of my anger and stress of the day into the weights and feel 10x better than I did prior. There is not a better place to be then the gym with my headphones in to escape the stresses of the world.
