I started bodybuilding and working out when I was in college. I took a phys ed course on weightlifting because I wanted to learn proper technique but also because I had a few pounds to lose. It was very empowering to learn how to properly execuete exercises and very important to me being a woman, as far as, being empowered to lift in the gym.
I love the feeling that I get, when I have worked out. I love the fact that every time I go into the gym I am challenging myself in different ways, whether it be with more weight, one more set or learning a new exercise. I love the fact that there is an unending amount of new exercises and learning a new one increases what my body is able to do. And I love the atmosphere of the gym and healthy communities such as bodybuilding.com, because it supports people in their quest to improve their life and their body.
