I have a rare congenital condition known as "Poland's Syndrome." It affects about 1 in 100,000 individuals (mostly men) and causes those suffering from it to never develop one of their pectoralis major muscles in childhood. Many also have a shorter arm and webbed fingers on the same side of the undeveloped Pec. Fortunately, I am only afflicted by the missing Pec.
I have always been active, participating in soccer, tennis, martial arts, cycling, and various other sports and activities throughout my life. For the above mentioned reason, the gym has always been a challenge. I am determined to make this time different and succeed despite my condition.
When I started in December, I was 190 lbs. (my normal weight is about 175) and felt disgusting. I am determined to lose weight, slim my waist back to where it should be, and build the muscle mass I've always wanted.
