I've always enjoyed working out, however my weight has fluctuated my entire life, based on life circumstances and other factors. After the birth of my daughter 11 years ago, I reached my highest weight of 224 lbs. Four years later I decided things had to change. I was miserable, out of energy, and had no self-esteem. I started small but ended up losing a total of 70 lbs in one year. I went on to receive my personal training certification and I love strength training. Although I haven't let myself get back to where I was after having my daughter, my weight has still fluctuated. My biggest challenge is healthy eating. I am a single mom working two jobs and hitting the gym 5-6 days a week. I do well with supplements and protein, but struggle when it comes to packaged and processed foods. I have never been disciplined enough to shave the last 20 lbs from my physique to achieve my ideal weight.
Working out and lifting weights keeps me sane! It is the best stress reliever, keeps me healthy and functioning, gives me energy, and makes me feel strong and sexy! I love the atmosphere of the gym, being in the "zone", and competing with myself to do better. I love experimenting with my workouts and exercises.
