It all started back in January 2003 after visiting my doctor for a cold. My doctor told me I was obese and with my family genetics I would be in a lot of trouble soon if I didn't make changes in my life. I started walking and reduced my caloric intake to only 1,200 calories a day as per my Dr. I went from 250lbs down to 215 in a year. I felt better about myself and thought I was at a good place with my weight. I then started eating crap again which put my weight back on. I gained weight and was now at 225 lbs. I met my wonderful wife and we both hit the gym together. I lost 3-4 lbs but never any more or any less. I figured I was healthy since I went to the gym but was not eating the right foods so anything I did in the gym would cancel out. After talking to my Dr. back in May of 2009, she gave me the tools to set my goals and I lost 12 lbs in the first month. On the second vist a month later I had lost 10 lbs. I am on my 3rd month and still losing but at a slower rate than before. Goal is to shed the fat and then start to build back up with more muscle. Thanks to my friend Aubrie and Jaquelyn Kay, I am now down 50 lbs since May of 2009. I lost lots of fat and slowly gaining muscle. I now weigh 177 lbs and feel better than ever thanks to eating the right foods at the right times. I learned the hard way, if you workout hard you have to feed your body the essential nutrients otherwise your gains are lost by catabolism.
