A few months ago, I saw pictures of a few college friends who had trained and entered in bikini competitions. Being a danceer, I knew that at one time, I was more fit and athletic than some of these ladies and I thought, "If they can transform their bodies, I can definitely transform mine."
I have always considered myself fit, but after speaking with female bodybuilders, researching the competitions, and viewing winners, I knew that I was nowhere near the fit and healthy lifestyle I could be.
I challenged myself to start training and compete in my first bikini or fitness competition in 2013. So, I am starting my journey. I am excited to be at a level of fitness that I never imagined.
Working out produces emotions and feelings that I have not experienced anywhere else. It gives me a sense of accomplishment, pride, productivity, and self-love.
Working out is literally, the best thing you can do for your body. I love bodybuilding and working out because each time in the gym or out running on the road, my body is challenged, my mind is clear, and I am in a state of euphoria.
