I used to be in martial arts. Along the way to my 20s I gained a lot of weight. My point i realized it was time to work out was when i was taken to jail one time and they logged my weight as 197. I never looked at my weight before that. I was 3 lbs away from 200lbs. I had time to think hard about the direction my life was going in, and i made a resolve to get my life back in order. To train my mind body and spirit. since leaving jail, i have transformed my living room into my own home gym/dojo. I've gotten as low as 160 but, rubber banded back up due to employment and life. Today i am back on the path to reach a fighting weight of 135. My ultimate goal is to compete in mma. Its not easy, but no one said it was going to be.
Everyday i feel myself getting stronger, leaner. I have much more self-esteem, and confidence. theres more to it but i'm still figuring it all out.
