Ever since I was little, I was always a skinny guy, but I've always wanted to be bigger and stronger. The problem was I never really had any goals in mind, I would get minimal results if any, get frustrated and give up. I fell completely off the fitness wagon in my twenties, and my weight and body fat skyrocketed. It wasn't until I stepped on the scale one day, saw that 250 staring back at me, then looking in the mirror and not recognizing who I was looking at, that I knew something had to change. That something couldn't just be my diet, or maybe going to the gym when it suited me, but a change in my lifestyle.
Once I started to make progress toward my goals, I have found exercise to be addictive. I am stronger now than I have ever been. I can do things now that I never thought possible. I can do pull ups. I can deadlift my own body weight. And I keep getting stronger, but I feel the need for more! It's a great feeling to be a strong guy.
