I kept in pretty good shape shoeing horses for the last 20 years or so. I recently retired from shoeing and started working a desk job (sales). I had put on close to 30 lbs of fat during the past 2 years. I decided that enough is enough and it was time to do something to help myself. I am 66 yrs of age and have always been in pretty good shape but have always wanted to get serious about body development. I guess better late than never. So this is where I am today. I have lost close to 25 lbs using just the treadmill & diet changes. I am wanting to trim more fat and build some muscle.
It is an exhilarating feeling to work out....fantastic to know I am doing something positive to improve my health and body appearance...Working out with weights has been in the back of my mind for many years and I guess came into focus again when my doctor told me they couldn't read my cholesterol levels because my triglycerides were so high..OUCH.. That's when the decision was made to DO IT NOW..!
