I played collegiate tennis, so I always lifted weights but never for mass just injury prevention and sports specific strength/endurance. Since I played sports I pretty much ate whatever I wanted and didn't worry about gaining fat. After graduation I realized I had slowly gotten "skinny fat" over the years. I finally decided to make a change. One of my friends had been using supps for awhile and had great results so I started on a full sup regimen (jack3d, powerfull, AP, recreate, prime). It worked well for a month and I made huge strength gains and lost a few lbs of fat. However, I soon had some pretty serious side effects and in December my doctor told me I had developed a stomach ulcer. Had to stop taking supps but as a result it forced me to clean my diet. In January I got serious and started doing a lot of reading. Since then I've dropped from 13% - 9% BF. Started taking whey protein and casein protein then too. Trying to get to 7% BF before I start a bulk cycle-- nervous about gaining weight during that cycle and getting skinny fat again.
