I started working out in a home gym in 2015 using primarily dumbbells and some body weight exercises. Since moving to a new house a few years ago (with no garage), I've been working out in the local gym. I'm not an experienced bodybuilder (and I'm now in my 50s...), and my workout is based on a combination of exercises that I feel work for me, what I find relatively easy to do, and exercises where I don't have to worry that my poor form is going to cause injuries. I'm no longer doing deadlifts (I feel they put too much stress on my spine) and most of my leg workouts rely on machines (like the leg press or hamstring curl machine). Before I stopped doing DLs I was able to lift twice my bodyweight (barely).
I live in a smaller village in the UK, but I typically spend longer periods abroad for work (in Asia and several European countries), and during these periods I rely heavily on body weight exercises, a suspension trainer (like a TRX) and resistance bands...
