During 2009-2011, I've gained about 30-34lbs, My normal weight has always been 138-140lbs, I didn't pay much attention to the weight gain, assuming due to me aging was the reason for the weight gain. When in reality, the reason for my weight gain was due to poor dieting and lack of physical activity. My company allowed me to start working from home. I sit for 7.5 hours a day working from my office desk. One day, I just felt uncomfortable sitting in my chair, the belly fat was uncomfortable while I was sitting. I didn't want it to get worst. I decided to do something about it and I did. On June 27, 2011, I took a before photos weighing 174lbs and created a small group for myself and a few Facebook friends, to update one another with each other's progress.. I started off small by walking around the neighborhood for at least 60 minutes to condition my body, after a week, I started using the treadmill, elliptical or stationary bike for 20-30 mins, then work my way up to 30-60 mins. I use to track my weight several times a day and logged all the foods I ate, counted my calorie intake.. My only goal was to get back to 140lbs. By Oct 28,2011, I got down to 138lbs. I was able to mix healthy meals with a few cheat meals to maintain my weight. June 27. 2013 will be my 2 year anniversary, maintaining weight, fluctuate anywhere from 135-144lbs, depending fluid and food intake.. I still continue to workout, eat healthier meals, and include some cheat meals. My goal now is to get more lean, hoping to get a six pack and some toning throughout, especially through my arms, legs and glutes. I'm currently 38 yrs old, 5'4, 143lbs with 15% body fat. I would like to take it to 10%BF..This will be a huge challenge for me. I hope I can see some progress within these next six weeks for Strong to the Cor Challenge
I love to workout. I have to go to the gym just about every day to some sort of cardio. It a good stress reliever for me. I feel better afterwards and I like to see progress in things I've never done before or things I do not wish to add in my routines such as push ups, and dips. Now, I need to workout learning how to work each muscle group to see more toning.
